Mission Statement
"Developing
Successful People Through Competitive Swimming"
Trident Swim Club
is a member of United States Swimming which is the national
governing body for swimming in the United States. All
members of Trident Swim Club must be registered with United
States Swimming.
As a member of
USS, Trident offers a variety of programs which are geared for
all levels of swimmers, from youngsters learning to swim to world
class athletes. These programs enable youngsters to
participate at their own levels of competition. The USS Age
Group program is designed to benefit younger athletes in the
early stages of their competitive swimming careers.
Age Group swimmers
participate in local, regional, and national meets and
championships. Locally, USS sponsors Age Group
Championships which lead to regional Zone meets. The Zone
meets are held in four areas of the country at the end of each
long and short course season. The Zone meets help prepare
swimmers for the national championships. The Junior
Championship, Senior National Championship, and specifically
conducted Team Selection Trials are used to pick swimmers for the
United States National Team.
